Motostalgia Hires Hollansworth JR Press Release

Motostalgia Auctions Appoints Former IndyCar Driver John Hollansworth Jr as Senior Car Specialist

Up and coming collector car auction in the exclusive catalog segment adds Indy 500 Driver to their staff

May 1st, 2016,  Austin, Texas – Motostalgia appoints John Hollansworth Jr. as Senior Car Specialist shortly after completing their newest auction success at  Amelia Island.  The growing collector car auction company adds Hollansworth, a former SCCA National Champion, Indy Racing League Driver, and Fastest Rookie Qualifier in the 1999 Indianapolis 500, to the Motostalgia Team effective immediately.

Hollansworth comments, “I’m really looking forward to working with Antonio and the entire Motostalgia Team.  I believe that the synergy which exists between Motostalgia and the SVRA presents a significant growth opportunity for Motostalgia in this specialty market.  Having the opportunity to assist Motostalgia Customers with purchasing and selling these rare cars at SVRA venues and participating in Motostalgia’s continued expansion going forward is exciting.  Additionally, having spent the last decade in the collector car industry has allowed me to build an experience base that will serve me well with Motostalgia.”

Antonio Brunet, Chairman of Motostalgia, said  “We are delighted to have John on board.  He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our organization and his skill sets make for a perfect fit.”

Brunet continues, “John’s extensive education and professional background in collector cars ranges from hands on experience in racing at the highest levels to producing top shelf automotive photography to even being a licensed attorney. John’s lifelong involvement with cars may reside in his DNA, as John Hollansworth Sr. is also a well recognized name in collector car circles. John Jr’s recent decade long experience directly involved in the collector car auction industry makes joining Motostalgia a natural progression to his professional career in the industry.”

Motostalgia’s catalog business model, which presents 75 to 95 automobiles per event, provides a venue that facilitates an exceptional level of customer service. Recognizing an underserved segment in the high end collector car catalog market, Motostalgia has seen rapid growth by focusing on the collector car segment in the $75,000 to $500,000 range — a segment that has been somewhat left behind by the grand success of the now ultra high end catalog auction houses.  With a clear platform and focused market bracket, Motostalgia embraces a culture dedicated to customer service, allowing for maximum time and attention with each client and his/her consignment. With great pride and dedicated staff procuring and selling an eclectic portfolio of the rarest and finest collector cars, the catalog production is an essential part of the day to day business with the highest quality of car photography and utmost dedication to accuracy in the historical and condition description of each offering.
